A securitization SPV can acquire risks linked to Intellectual property of any kind. That includes rights or direct property of :

• Brand, names, or business identity, logo, trademark,
• Patents, outcome of research and development,
• Artistic rights, author’s right, future sale of books, records,…
• any type of future income linked to a future sale price of an intellectual property
• a future collection of an income or royalty, etc.
• Website, internet domain name
• Software or any kind of process, know-how
• Licenses

The SPV issues a security to investors who receive a return on their investment which is funded and secured by the yield generated by the intellectual property securitized by the SPV.

The securitization SPV may also raise capital by issuing securities which proceed will serve to fund a company, a third party activity or an investments into an intellectual property or a facility agreement.

The investors buy this future income stream by buying securities issued by the securitization vehicle and obtaining the right to the potential future income.
